WS505
– WebSphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD) / Rational Application Developer (RAD) For J2EE Developers
(3
days)
Course
Description
This
course covers your choice of either WSAD or RAD and is focused on
the tool rather than on general J2EE
development concept such as the servlet
life cycle. The course fully covers
the all aspects of the tool that developers
need to know.
A
hands-on approach is taken to developing
knowledge of WSAD/RAD with lectures used
to introduce topics. Extensive laboratory
experience is emphasized.
Since
this course is focused on development
and not deployment, the WebSphere Application
Server (WAS) per se is not covered,
however, the integrated WebSphere Test
Environment, which is based on WAS,
is covered in detail.
By
the end of the course, students will
feel comfortable using WSAD/RAD for day-to-day
development.
Material
new to WSAD/RAD is covered in
detail. This material includes
changes to allow selection of
J2EE level specifications (1.2
or 1.3), new menu layouts, additional
views such as the JUnit view,
and extended editing capabilities.
Course
