Process (RUP) and adapted them to suit Noospherics unique blend of imagination and experience. This
comprehensive Solutions Management Process combines our extensive real world expertise (Noospherics
Technologies senior architectural staff has an average of 20+ years apiece in the development of complex
software solutions) with the best of leading edge process and development methodologies. Noospherics
feels that RUP is the best foundation for rapid application development in the J2EE environment. This
process uses four phases to define the application development effort:

INCEPTION — The IDEA: defining the vision and scope of the end result of the project and its
corresponding business case.

ELABORATION — The PLAN: Planning the project including activities and resources. Gathering the
requirements and building the initial Use Cases. Designing the basic Application Architecture and
specifying the feature/function set.

CONSTRUCTION — The BUILD: Building the application, and evolving the IDEA and the PLAN to
suit the changing requirements and scope of the project.

TRANSITION — The IMPLEMENTATION: Transitioning the product from development to deployment
in the user community, including delivering the application and documentation, training the users,
training the support organization, supporting the application and working with the customer until the
users are satisfied.
